Learn to Knit: a 4-week course for the absolute beginner (Melbourne - CBD)

Never knitted before but have been wanting to learn?

Join in our beginner’s knitting class, which will teach you all the basics - knitting, purling, some simple stitch patterns as well as casting on and off - while creating your own beanie or scarf!

Please note that this class will be changing projects in June, to our new drawstring bag project.

This course is also perfect if you haven’t knitted in a long time and would like a refresher.

Our teachers are experienced knitters who will support you through learning new skills as well as sharing their favourite tips and tricks.

Details: 2 hours a week, for 4 weeks.

Location: Melbourne Morris and Sons: Level 1/234 Colins St Melbourne VIC 3000

The class includes a kit that contains knitting needles and the wool to complete the project as well as a course booklet. There are videos created to support your learning and practice at home. You will also receive a voucher for 10% off on a future purchase in store. This can be applied to your next class.

Once a course has commenced it can not be joined. Please have a look at the later dates offered.

Cancellation Policy

If we cancel the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You may send someone in your place, just let us know so we can update our attendance and contact list.

A refund can be requested 5 business days before class starts.

A transfer can be requested up to 5 business days before the class starts.

No changes will be allowed after these times.

Missed Class Policy:

First Class: If you miss the first class, please come into the store to pick up your kit in advance. You have two options to catch up:

1) 1:1 Session: Schedule a 30-minute one-on-one session with the teacher (subject to their availability) directly before week 2, for a discounted rate of $35. To get the most out of this session, pick up your kit beforehand and review the introductory videos accessed by the link or QR code in your class booklet before your appointment.

2) Self-Paced: Alternatively, you can catch up by watching the instructional videos on your own. The teacher will assist with your learning during the next class.

Subsequent Classes: If you miss the second, third, or fourth week, please refer to the videos covering that week's techniques. The teacher will assist with your learning in the next class.
